国連訓練調査研究所UNITARにワークショップを実施

We have been invited to conduct a workshop facilitation in Awaji Island with UNITAR, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, the Government of Japan and PASONA.

The workshop was attended by 50 participants selected from about 900 applicants from 17 countries in the Indian Ocean to Pacific Ocean area. one day program during the 12 days of the workshop was conducted by DLX Design Lab. using the OMNI microplastic sampling machine, PIGRA, and facilitated the manufacturing workshop. The participants were very enthusiastic and produced interesting outputs in a short time. The final presentation took place at the United Nations University in Aoyama. Thank you to PASONA and UNITAR for this honorable opportunity.

For us, it was a special opportunity to learn about the marine environment of people we do not usually have a chance to communicate with, such as Fiji and Papua New Guinea. I thought that we need to think comprehensively about the marine litter issue because it is totally different from country to country.

It was wonderful to be able to attend the final presentation by the United Nations University. To my surprise, there was a direct message from former Prime Minister Kishida. We were very happy to hear the people from UNITAR and PASONA tell me that the session of making things with their hands had a tremendous impact and was good after the demonstration on the beach of what they had actually made.
