On August 14, 2020, I conducted an online workshop on microplastics with the children of the Zushi Uminojidoukan.

For this workshop, we created a diorama to explain how microplastics are generated, and sent it to the Sea Children's Museum to make it easier to understand.

The children of the Sea Children's Museum have a high level of interest in the ocean, having been exposed to it on a daily basis.

They were very active and came up with a lot of ideas in a short time.

Assistant Professor Kinoshita of the DLX Design Lab, who is involved in marine research as a representative of the researcher side, answered the children's questions.

Even though it was difficult to hold a face-to-face workshop in the corona, the online workshop was a great opportunity to connect with the children remotely and think about their ideas.

We plan to continue this workshop event in the future.

This event was featured in the evening edition of the Asahi Shimbun and in FASU.
